When do we meet?

Faithful Teaching

Before approval, our curriculum undergoes a rigorous academic curriculum review with a team of respected Catholic theologians, including  Dr. Mary Healy, Dr. Alan Schreck, Dr. Daniel Keating, Rev. Peter F. Ryan, S.J., and Dr. Robert Fastiggi.

Not only did they work to guarantee that the curriculum is free from moral and doctrinal error and rooted deeply in Scripture, official Church teaching and the testimony of the early Church fathers, but they helped to provide greater precision and accuracy in the curriculum to diminish possible confusion and ensure full continuity with Church teaching.

This campus has been reviewed and approved by the bishop of this diocese.

TEAM MEMBERS

All satellite campus leaders and instructors are graduates of the Encounter School of Ministry and strive to live out the ESM Core Values.

Christina Perera

Campus Director
Bio

Christina is a powerhouse of passion on a mission to bring the Father’s heart to everyone she encounters! Her kingdom dream is making disciples of all nations, and it starts right here in the metropolitan city of Toronto! She is excited to teach, equip, activate, and deploy disciples across the Archdiocese of Toronto. Born in Sri Lanka, and migrated to Toronto with her family over 20 years ago. Fast forward to her early 20s, and boom! She encounters the love of the Father in Eucharist Adoration. From that moment on, she’s been head over heels for the Lord, on a constant journey to dive deeper into the Father’s heart.

Samantha Monteiro

Leadership Team
Bio

Samantha has lived in multiple countries across the globe, has a degree in Psychology and works as an Advertising Strategist. She was fortunate to be brought up in a family that taught her the importance of a life in Christ. However, it wasn’t until she was 13 and had a life changing encounter with the Father through music that she fully began to understand her identity as a daughter of Christ. Since then, she has been a part of the renewal, serving on the core team of many youth ministries in both Dubai and Canada. She has travelled overseas to help host retreats for youth. She is trained in Inner Healing and continues to share all she’s learnt with those who need prayer and healing. She desires to help people find and be rooted in their identity as sons and daughters of a King. She wants to show people how simple it is to hear from Jesus and to follow His lead in activating the gifts we all receive at our baptism. She is most enthralled with the knowledge of an open heaven above us and wants more than anything to share that with those around her.

Mary Duarte

Leadership Team
Bio

Mary feels the call was placed on her life from the time of her conception when her parents made a promise to Mother Mary that if they had a daughter (they already had two boys), they would name her Mary in honour of her. Born and raised in Toronto in a devout Catholic household, Mary’s faith experienced a radical conversion and deepening throughout several pilgrimages to Medjugorje where she felt the call of Our Blessed Mother and had a deep encounter with the Holy Spirit. Mary is passionate about building an army for God. With a deep devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Mary invited the Lord to pierce her heart with love for Him and love for her neighbour. She cares deeply for the brokenhearted and less fortunate, and knows that God will build His army with the everyday man, the poor and those in prison. Mary has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from McMaster University and over 25 years of leadership experience. Mary loves spending time with friends and family and her son, Jordan.
