When do we meet?

Faithful Teaching

Before approval, our curriculum undergoes a rigorous academic curriculum review with a team of respected Catholic theologians, including  Dr. Mary Healy, Dr. Alan Schreck, Dr. Daniel Keating, Rev. Peter F. Ryan, S.J., and Dr. Robert Fastiggi.

Not only did they work to guarantee that the curriculum is free from moral and doctrinal error and rooted deeply in Scripture, official Church teaching and the testimony of the early Church fathers, but they helped to provide greater precision and accuracy in the curriculum to diminish possible confusion and ensure full continuity with Church teaching.

This campus has been reviewed and approved by the bishop of this diocese.

TEAM MEMBERS

All satellite campus leaders and instructors are graduates of the Encounter School of Ministry and strive to live out the ESM Core Values.

Olivia Seitz

Campus Director
Bio

Olivia Seitz is a St. Michael parishioner on fire for the Holy Spirit to manifest the glory of God here in North Carolina. She has been joyfully married to Mark for nine years. In 2022, Jesus stretched forth His hand and healed her of serious, incurable illness. Since then, she and Mark have been learning how to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit and live faithfully to His promptings in the day-to-day. She is thrilled to establish the Encounter Raleigh Campus so that more of God’s people can freely walk in their identities as sons and daughters of God. Olivia also serves as the executive director of Rise and Walk.

Mark Seitz

Leadership Team
Bio

Mark Seitz was born and raised in Irving, Texas. He obtained his degree at the University of Dallas, where he met his beloved wife. Now, he works as a software engineer for Fidelity Investments. Mark desires deep encounter with the Lord and seeks every day to grow in discerning His voice. His humble teaching style and relatable life stories are sure to bless every student who steps through the Raleigh campus doors. If you see him around St. Michael’s, feel free to say hello and ask for prayers; he’d love to oblige!

Fr. Steven Ellis, LC

Fr Stephen Ellis is from Thompson, OH, a small town outside of Cleveland. He grew up riding and showing Quarter Horses. He went to the University of Dayton for two years before joining the Legion of Christ in 1993. He did his theology and philosophy studies at Regina Apostolorum in Rome and has a licentiate degree in philosophy. Fr Stephen is currently serving as the Regnum Christi Chaplain for North Carolina and resides in Durham. His passion is forming apostles for the New Evangelization.

Debra Rony

Leadership Team
Bio

Debra (Debbie) Rony grew up riding horses, fishing, and farming in a rural area outside Williamsburg, Virginia. After earning her B.A. in English, she began a career in retail banking and human resources. She is now a homemaker married to Paul Rony, her husband of 28 years, and has two adult children. She strives to live a life of joy, balancing her first vocation as a wife and mother with her ability to serve the Lord in other capacities. She has served on the Board for the Catholic Diocese of Raleigh Charismatic Renewal, as a leader in Charismatic prayer groups, and as Editor of “The Flame” (a monthly Diocesan Charismatic Newsletter). She is trained in Unbound Ministry. Her heart’s desire is to show people the love of Jesus and to help them be healed mind, body, and soul!

Liz Caldwell

Leadership Team
Bio

Liz Caldwell is a lifelong practicing Catholic. She has been married to her husband Joe for 33 years and they are blessed with 5 wonderful children and one equally wonderful son-in-law. She is originally from Michigan but has lived in North Carolina for the past 16 years. Liz’s search for a deeper relationship with the Lord led her to join Regnum Christi in September of 2021. Part of RC’s spiritual formation that year was reading “Be Healed” by Dr. Bob Schuchts. God used that book to make Liz aware of the healing she needed. Through guided deliverance prayer she received radical healing of mind, body, and spirit. Since that encounter, she strives daily to bring the light of Christ to others. Liz retired from her over 30-year nursing career to pursue God’s call to healing ministry.

Carolyn Wilson

Leadership Team
Bio

Carolyn Wilson is the mother of three amazing daughters and two incredible sons-in-law, plus grandmother to three beautiful grandsons! She grew up attending Catholic schools in Metro-Detroit and graduated from the University of Detroit-Mercy. After seeing her daughters happily and capably move into their own lives with God, family, and careers, she moved to be closer to them in the Raleigh, NC area. She continues to be reminded that the Lord moves her where He wants and needs her! A pivotal moment in her life was moving from a corporate role at a Catholic non-profit healthcare system to working for a parish in the City of Detroit. What a joy! During this time, attending the Encounter School of Ministries opened up her mind and heart to a whole new world of living in the Holy Spirit. She is humbled and thrilled that the Lord has brought her to Raleigh to be involved with this satellite campus.
