Pay It Forward

Many of our Encounter School of Ministry students are full-time college students, seminarians, and single-income parents who could benefit greatly from Encounter but find it difficult to meet the tuition demands. If you are interested in sponsoring a student or helping defray the cost of tuition and travel, we invite you to make a donation through our secure platform at DonorBox. Donations made through this site go directly to the Palm Beach Campus and are separate from Encounter Ministries Partner Program.

Thank you for your support!

Meet your director Kim Engel

Kim Engel is School Director at the Palm Beach Campus. She is a wife and homeschooling mother of three. Kim is also Founder of Sheerah Ministries and has a passion for helping the lost and disenchanted encounter the love and power of the Holy Spirit within the context of our Judeo-Christian heritage. She has a heart for the revelatory and prophetic gifts of the Spirit and brings her many years of ministry teaching and wisdom to help empower Catholics to live transformational lives rooted in Christ’s love and mercy. “My experience with Encounter has taught me the Holy Spirit is indeed alive and at work powerfully in the Catholic Church today. I look forward to seeing how the Encounter School of Ministry will transform individual lives and Catholic culture and help bring together communities in such a dynamic way that when Christ does return He will find a Church ignited and kindled with the fire of His love!”

This diocese has reviewed and welcomed the Encounter School of Ministry.

The Encounter School of Ministry is open to Christians of all backgrounds—disciples who believe God calls them to demonstrate His supernatural love in their daily lives. Our curriculum and content is rooted in Catholic Tradition and faithful to Catholic teaching.

Meet Our Campus Leaders

Fulfilling His Promises

We are blessed to have Fr. Frank D’Amato as  the Spiritual Director for our Palm Beach Campus. He was ordained to the Priesthood of Jesus Christ for the Diocese of Palm Beach in 2018. Since then, he has been serving as Parochial Vicar of St. Jude Parish in Tequesta. A quick read of his interview as Recently Ordained Priest will tell you why we are so blessed to have him. Read his interview here. “Our Lord Jesus Christ tells us “every good tree bears good fruit” (Mt. 7:17). As I learn more about Encounter Ministries, and after attending the Encounter South Florida Conference, I saw and experienced the fruits of healing and hope.”

Speak Lord!

Deacon Pete DelValle is a native of Brooklyn, NY. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps at the age of 19, completed four years active and four years reserve, then spent most of his career in the Dry-Cleaning business. Along with his wife Amy of 29 years, they owned and operated several locations before they arrived in Florida in 1989. They had their first child in 1993, their second child in 1997, and are expecting their first grandchild in May 2021. He first heard the call to vocation at the age of 16 but ignored the call and continued to ignore it, until, in 2008, the call became too great and He entered the Permanent Diaconate program. He attended Saint Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary, was ordained in 2013 and accepted a position as the Pastoral Associate at his Parish. He is also Associate Director for Diaconate Formation at the Diocese of Palm Beach. “I believe the Lord speaks to us dozens and dozens of times a day. We need to tune our senses to hear and truly be open to the Holy Spirit. Encounter Ministry shows us the way to do just that. Come Holy Spirit!”

Receiving His Inheritence

Dr. Jaimee Perez is excited to be part of the Palm Beach Satellite campus Encounter ministry leaders team. She is a native Floridian and a spiritual daughter of the Diocese of Palm Beach, experiencing her first conversion as teenager under the auspices of the youth ministry at St Rita Catholic Church in Wellington, Florida. Dr. Jaimee is first and foremost a daughter of the Most High King. She is also blessed to be mother to her teenage daughter and has been able to provide for her little family through her work as a clinical psychologist. Called to her vocation by God, Dr. Jaimee loves that she is able to integrate the Catholic understanding of the human person with her training in clinical psychology and bring healing to those in need. Her relationship with the Holy Spirit started at the tender age of 15 when she was confirmed, when her love and desire for knowledge and wisdom was ignited and her devotion to the Holy Spirit took root. Dr. Jaimee was blessed to be mentored by incredible women in the local charismatic movement. She experienced another baptism in the Holy Spirit in her mid-twenties after a reversion experience and despite a season of separation from the Lord and His Church, He ignited an even deeper love for Him that she has since wanted to pour out to all He brings to her. The deepest desire of Dr. Jaimee’s heart is for ALL to encounter the Living God and His profound love through the healing and restoring power of the Holy Spirit. “I believe the teachings of Encounter ministry can help ALL to experience such healing, so that ALL can step wholeheartedly into their God-given identity and inheritance as sons and daughters of the Most-High King and fully realize their own divine appointment in God’s Kingdom.”

Watch the "Fearless" Documentary

Cardinal Raniero Cantalamessa, O.F.M. Cap. – Preacher to the Pontifical Household – “What I have appreciated most in the Fearless documentary is that healings are not seen as a goal in themselves but as “signs” of the presence of the Kingdom and the compassion of God, just as they were in the ministry of Jesus. Actions speak louder than words, and miracles speak louder than teachings. Dr. Mary Healy’s and Ralph Martin’s commentaries provide a very sound catholic understanding of the charism of healing and if Fr. Mathias Thelen has convinced me, both in the way he performs live healing ministry and looks at us in the camera, he will certainly convince you.”
