Getting Comfortable with Prophecy

Previous to my experience in the Encounter School of Ministry, I had looked on prophetic ministry as somewhat of an intrusion on the secret place inside each person where the Lord is at work 24-7. I have come to understand this ministry better after the Quarter on Intimacy with God. As a disciple of Jesus I am given access to the Heart of the Father for those whose lives He places in my path so that my brothers and sisters may discover and/or be fortified in the conviction of the Presence of Jesus already at work in their life through a powerful word of knowledge that disposes the person to acknowledge His invitation to come nearer for a deeper relationship with Him. Jesus is assuring me that the more I persevere in pointing towards Himself, I can let go of the fear of those with whom I minister forming an unhealthy attachment to me. I am comforted by the peoples’ response in the story of the Samaritan woman, ““We no longer believe because of your word; for we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this is truly the savior of the world.”
