When do we meet?

Faithful Teaching

Before approval, our curriculum undergoes a rigorous academic curriculum review with a team of respected Catholic theologians, including  Dr. Mary Healy, Dr. Alan Schreck, Dr. Daniel Keating, Rev. Peter F. Ryan, S.J., and Dr. Robert Fastiggi.

Not only did they work to guarantee that the curriculum is free from moral and doctrinal error and rooted deeply in Scripture, official Church teaching and the testimony of the early Church fathers, but they helped to provide greater precision and accuracy in the curriculum to diminish possible confusion and ensure full continuity with Church teaching.

This campus has been reviewed and approved by the bishop of this diocese.

TEAM MEMBERS

All satellite campus leaders and instructors are graduates of the Encounter School of Ministry and strive to live out the ESM Core Values.

Valerie Kummer

Campus Director
Bio

Raised with deep roots in rural North Dakota, Valerie contributes her early formation as a cradle Catholic to her grandfather who rarely missed daily Mass.
In her professional life, armed with a Master’s degree in Oil, Gas and Energy Law from the University of Oklahoma, Valerie has been blessed to build successful entrepreneurial business ventures, alongside her husband, in the energy, agriculture and carbon management spaces. She is however most proud of her primary Vocation as a mother. It is in her motherhood that Valerie has really come to know our Lord intimately, in a dynamic way. In her adult life she has relied on the Lord for peace, patience, and fortitude; leading a busy life as a stay-at-home mom and business owner, which has brought her into a deep relationship with the Holy Trinity and with Mary.
Over the past several years, she has been blessed to plug into Encounter Ministries where she has learned to cultivate the gifts of the Holy Spirit, allowing her to step into ministry in physical healing and deliverance. Valerie has a deep desire to share Jesus with those who are lost, specifically through foreign mission work. She currently lives an abundantly active life in Denver with her husband, raising their five children and two dogs.

Mari Carmen Lopez Mota

Leadership Team
Bio

Originally from Mexico City, Mari Carmen experienced a life-transforming encounter with the person of Jesus Christ as young adult. She is passionate and devoted to His ministry of healing, deliverance and evangelization. She has been involved in ministry for over 18 years and has organized and managed family missions, youth retreats, conferences, and a Life in the Spirit Seminar. Currently, she serves as the education and event coordinator for IGNITE, the Charismatic Renewal Ministry in the diocese of Colorado Springs, CO. In her desire to ignite more hearts with the transforming fire of the Holy Spirit, Mari Carmen founded and presently leads the charismatic prayer group at her parish. She has traveled overseas to bring the love and healing power of Jesus to people in need, where she has witnessed Jesus’ healing power manifested in miraculous healings.

As a daily communicant, the Eucharist is the center of her life and often spends hours in Adoration. She also finds and connects with God in His creation while enjoying outdoor activities.

God has blessed Mari Carmen with three grown children, and three grandchildren.

Mark Bocinsky

Leadership Team
Bio

Mark grew up in Melbourne, FL. Jesus became personal for him during a powerful night of Eucharistic Adoration at a Youth Retreat his Mom made him go to. This changed the trajectory of his life. He has become a passionate teacher of the faith, a spirit-filled praise and worship leader, and believes deeply in the inner healing God wants to bring to all of His children. Apart from his work with the Denver ESM Campus, Mark serves as a full-time Parish Leadership Coach for Amazing Parish and is part of the Denver ESM Leadership Team. He lives in Centennial, CO with his beautiful wife Laura and two wonderful children.
