Patty Gonzalez
Director
Patty is a graduate of Encounter School in Brighton Michigan. She taught school for 40 years in both Bogota, Colombia and Akron Public Schools. She has 2 adult sons, a daughter in-law and a granddaughter. Patty is excited to transform minds and bring others closer to God through the Encounter School of Ministry – Akron Campus!
Mary Beth Garvin
Assistant Director
After having an intimate encounter with the Lord on Pentecost in 2011, she was called to co-found Peter’s Shadow in Feb of 2016 at which time the Lord told her in prayer to “Be docile and allow Me to lead.” It is an honor and a pleasure to serve the Lord in this way and bring healing to this broken world.
The Holy Spirit is doing something new in Akron! He is intensifying His relationship with His disciples, transforming Akron by demonstrating the power of the Gospel through His supernatural love. Come Holy Spirit!

The Encounter School of Ministry is open to Christians of all backgrounds—disciples who believe God calls them to demonstrate His supernatural love in their daily lives. Our curriculum and content is rooted in Catholic Tradition and faithful to Catholic teaching.
